You don't take a photograph. You ask, quietly, to borrow it. (Author Unknown)
It was when I started working in the Black Sea region in Turkey as a Tea Tester where many of tea plantations located, that my passion for photography began and became part of my daily life. As a result, I’m driven to photography as a way of communicating and understanding ones’ relationship with this planet. In my work, I try to capture habitats meeting the human spirit in the most expressive combination of light form.
I completed my studies at LaGuardia Community College in New York and earned an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Photography.Following year, I have been accepted by Queens College M.F.A program. I completed my M.F.A in Photography from Queens College, City University of New York and currently working as an Adjunct CLT in graphic design Department at the New York City College of Technology.
I strongly believe that I have a broad academic background in Education and I will be able to explore my various interests and make more informed decisions about which specific discipline I want to study in depth. As for my long-term plans, I’d like to obtain a position at a university and teach the art of photography to the next generation.
